Upstairs at Bumblebee at the Hive has been an amazing space to create. We’ve filled it with unique pieces sourced from our suppliers and applied our Bumblebee charm to make it homely and inviting.

But the dream has always been to create a beautiful café and bistro in this amazing space, and so work begins in 2021 on The Hive Café & Bistro Barrow.
We hope to provide our lovely customers with a warm place to have a rest, enjoy some fresh, tasty, homemade food, indulge in fabulous cakes and sip tea, coffee and hot chocolate with friends and family.

We want to create a café serving the food and drinks that our customers would like and so, we’d love to hear from you! If you have an idea of what The Hive could have or create, food, drinks, activities, then please let us know.

So where are we up to…

We’ve spent the last few years preparing, making the shop ready for the next adventure and making plans for The Hive Café & Bistro to open. We’ve been to see suppliers, measured up and prepped the room ready for the kitchen to be installed…then we filled it full of boxes, full of beautiful items to sell in the shop! We know, we got carried away with the shop, but now we’re back on track and ready to hit the ground running!

We’ll be updating our social media as we develop The Hive Café Bistro, giving sneaky peeks of the kitchen, how our new branding will compliment our new adventure and just a little teasing of our scrumptious menu. Keep following us on Facebook & Instagram to see it all.
