As Christmas Eve approaches, and the sparkle of Christmas is at its brightest, us Bees have a few things we’d like to reflect on and share with our amazing customers.

Firstly, we would like to start with a huge thank you! Thank you to each and every person who has supported us in 2021. Whether that’s been by popping into the shop, visiting our website, or following and liking us on social media, you really are a very lovely bunch of people!

And what a year it has been! 2021 you have had your ups and your downs, with restrictions, following ever confusing lock down road maps and trying to keep the wheels of businesses, families and schools still turning. It has been hard, but our communities have come together (socially distanced of course) to support, console and help give rise to the positive vibes of our great town.

We have loved exploring new ways to help support and invite our community into Bumblebee, and one of the most exciting discoveries we made in 2021 is the lovely Fairy Peaseblossom. A vibrant character who really brought the Nutcracker to life with her magical and interactive storytelling, upstairs in the beautifully lit Hive – there was snow and everything!

So we want to help keep those positive, festive vibes strong and flowing! We are extremely grateful and excited to be here on Scott Street in Barrow, and ready to launch into 2022 with a bang…well after a little Christmas snooze and some mince pies!

Our Cafe & Bistro work commences in January with an aim to be open in the Spring. The Hive Cafe & Bistro will be a warm and inviting place, where you can come alone or meet friends to enjoy delicious food and drink, in a relaxed and comfortable, home from home atmosphere.

And since we, and you, like her so much, we will be welcoming Fairy Peaseblossom back in 2022, looking to offer a regular storytelling experience to the younger visitors of Bumblebee – watch this space!

So as 2021 draws to a close, we are excited to bring news of great things to come and reflect so positively on our fantastic community. We are open Christmas Eve 10am – 3pm, when our doors will close for a lovely festive rest until Tuesday 4th January.

So Merry Christmas to all our wonderful customers, and a heart felt thank you at this special time of year…a time of kindness, reflection and gratitude
